Urgent action required to prevent further attacks on Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that recent attacks on the ZNPP, including drone strikes on the Unit 6 reactor building, pose a significant threat to nuclear safety and security in Europe. The successful targeting of the reactor containment sets a perilous precedent that cannot be ignored.

IAEA staff are currently on-site and at other nuclear plants in Ukraine, working tirelessly to ensure safety measures are in place. However, the situation remains precarious, and additional support is urgently needed.


Time to strengthen child protection efforts in Nigeria
