Tourism leaders are concerned that French and German tourists are starting to avoid the UK due to post-Brexit restrictions on travel with identity cards.


With the easing of anti-COVID measures across Europe last year, tourism had begun to recover. Still, now there are indications that significant numbers of French and German tourists, both of whom are major markets for UK tourism, are choosing not to visit Britain.
